Try to knit this shawl and you’ll get a beautiful lace accessory and pure enjoyment from the knitting processas a result.
It consists of the detailed description of each knitting stage and 15 PDF pages of the charts.
Asel is a half-circle lace shawl knitted from the top down. This shawl is made up of four identical, symmetrical wedges separated by center stitches that run from the neck to the bottom. A three-stitch garter border runs along either side of the shawl. After you have finished the main body of your shawl you will add a knitted-on lace border.
Pattern includes charts, row-by-row written instructions, and illustrative photos.
Needles: Size 4.5 mm US 7 32” circular;
Notions: 3 locking stitch markers; 1 ring stitch marker; tapestry needle to weave in ends; T-pins for blocking; blocking wires (optional).
Yarn Used: Alize Lanagold 800 (51% acrylic, 49% wool; 800 m 875 yds/100 g).
Lace-weight natural fibers yarns (such as merino wool, wool, silk mohair, mohair, alpaca, and stuff like that) will be perfect for this knitting project. The wool acrylic blend is also suitable.
Natural fibers yarns are some of the most suitable yarns to block, and they will keep the shape and size of your finished shawl in the future. Acrylic yarns generally return to their pre-blocked shape fairly quickly after the pins are removed, so, it is not the best choice for a lace shawl.
Yardage: 1020 m 1116 yds.
Yardage may vary based on individual knitting style, needle size, and yarn weight.
Blocked Size: 98 cm 38 ½″ deep and 266 cm 105 ¾″ wide.
