The Ashbury Shawl is a fun granny-stripe shawl which is very beginner friendly.

Using a soft cotton DK yarn gives beautiful stitch definition but an acrylic yarn would also be great for this pattern.

It is finished off with a tassel at each corner.

The blanket is made with King Cole CottonSoft DK:
2 balls in Ecru 711
1 ball in Midnight 3365
1 ball in Apricot 1850
1 ball in Candy Floss 3462

However, you could have fun playing around with different colour combinations.

The shawl measures 134cm along the longest edge (not including tassels) and is made with a 4 mm hook.

The pattern was first published in issue 79 of Crochet Now, which was on sale from 24 February 2022.
