Ashcroft
- Ashcroft is a worsted weight v-neck cardigan with drop shoulder shaping, a cozy, oversized body and fitted sleeves.
- A twisting cable pattern is showcased on either side of the body against a stockette stitch background.
- It is knit seamlessly from the top down. The top back is worked first, then the left and right sides are picked up and worked to the underarms. Once the back and fronts are joined, the remainder of the body is worked until the hem. The sleeves are picked up around the underarms and then worked in the round to the wrists. A front band is picked up along the front opening, and buttons are attached.
- For my sample, I’ve used a Worsted weight superwash merino wool, which is cozy, warm and drapes beautifully.
- Pattern is available in ten sizes from XS to 6X.
- This cardigan is designed with 8 - 12” / 20.5 - 30.5 cm of positive ease. If you wish to knit it with less ease than suggested, make sure to take a close look at the sleeve measurements as well, to ensure they won’t be too tight.
