A perfect way to dip your toes into illusion knitting (or shadow knitting). This striped bandana is not only super cute with contrasting stripes, but also includes the magical ability to say NO if you look at it from an angle.

The optical illusion appears best when it’s flat, so may not be obvious when you’re wearing it as a bandana - but you will see glimpses (and you will know the secret)! To fully show off the illusion, you can even wear it as a top or around your waist.

It is knit side to side, increasing for the first half and decreasing for the second half.

• Size: one size - Finished bandana is approximately 70 cm/ 27.5 inch long and 27 cm / 10.5 inches at widest point Yarn: 2 x contrasting colours in DK weight approximately 50 g each
• Needles: 3 mm needles
• Gauge: 23 stitches x 45 rows = 10cm x 10cm in garter stitch (note the actual bandana will be a looser than this). The gauge doesn’t have to be exact for this project, so don’t worry if you are a little bit off.
