Gauge is dependent on Hook size, yarn weight and personal tension used. 4 x 4 inches= 14 sts X 10 rows (of DC). You may need to make adjustments in hook size & yarn weight if your beanie and cowl are not measuring correctly. It’s recommended that you make a test swatch before beginning.
