ASTA SWEATER
Asta Sweater is knitted from the top down with stripes. The upper part of the back is worked back and forth first, with shoulder shaping created using short rows while incorporating the stripes. Then, the shoulders are knitted separately, also back and forth on circular needles. The shoulders are then joined at the front to form the front piece. Once both the back and front pieces are complete, they are joined to form the body, which is worked in the round on circular needles with stripes. The sleeves are knitted from picked-up stitches along the armholes. Finally, the neckline is worked from picked-up stitches around the neck opening.
Choosing a size:
The Asta Sweater has a positive ease of approximately 10–18 cm (4–7 inches). Measure yourself before starting to find the size that fits you best. For example, if your bust (or widest part of your torso) measures 95 cm, you should choose size M. A sweater in size M has a chest circumference of 110 cm, providing 15 cm of ease.
