Size guide
Asta Sweater is designed to have approx. 20-25 cm 7.75-9.75” of positive ease. Edith Sweater is shown with approx. 25 cm 9.75” of positive ease, meaning the sweater is shown on a model with a bust circumference that is 25 cm 9.75“ smaller than the sweater’s bust circumference.
The length is measured at the center back excl. the neckline.
Find your personal bust circumference by measuring around your chest (or the largest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements at the beginning of the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the sweater). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the sweater’s measurement.
For example, if your bust circumference is 94 cm 37”, a size M will give you a positive ease of 24 cm 9.5”m – 94 cm = 24 cm) 46.5”- 37” = 9.5”

Construction
Asta Sweater is worked top down. First the upper part of the back is shaped with short rows as described. The back is then worked by following the chart until the armhole is finished. The back stitches are placed on hold while the upper parts of the front piece are worked. Stitches are picked up along the shoulder, and the front pieces are shaped with short rows and later with increases for the neckline. The front piece is worked until the armhole is finished. From here on, the sweater is worked in the round on circular needles. Stitches are picked up along the armhole. The first part of the sleeve is worked flat on the circular needle. Then the sleeve is joined in the round and worked in stockinette stitch (from the WS). At last stitches are picked up for the neckline and the neckline is finished in rib.
