A classic bottom-up hat featuring an intricate twisted-stitch motif worked in the round.
The hat is knitted from the bottom up starting with the brim. The body of the hat up to the crown is worked following either written or charted instructions. The hat, designed in two sizes, will accommodate most adult heads and is designed to be worn fitted.
Finished measurements (unstretched, hat laying flat):
Size 1: 42 cm / 16.5”
Size 2: 49 cm / 19.25”
The hat is designed to stretch and should be worn with negative ease.
Gauge:
Approximately 24 sts × 32 rounds = 10 cm / 4” in the ribbing after blocking.
23 sts × 33 rounds = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4” in the main pattern after blocking.
Yarn: DK/Worsted weight yarn:
Size 1: approximately 200 m / 220 yds
Size 2: approximately 230 m / 250 yds
The amount of yarn required may vary depending on yarn weight, gauge and individual knitting tension.
Yarn used for the rose sample: Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino 100% Merino wool, 125 m (137 yrds)/50 gr, color Rose clay
Yarn used for the mint sample: Laines du Nord Merino Yak (70% Merino Wool, 15% Alpaca, 15% Yak; 115 m (126 yards) / 50 gr; colour: 2.
Needle:
-3.75 mm / US 5 circular needle for the ribbing, or size needed to obtain gauge
-4.5 mm / US 7 circular needle for the main pattern, or size needed to obtain gauge
DPNs or another preferred method for small-circumference knitting, needle size needed to obtain the gauge.
Notions: Removable Stitch Markers, tapestry needle.

Un classico berretto lavorato dal basso verso l’alto in tondo, caratterizzato da un elaborato motivo di punti a twisted stitch.
La lavorazione comincia dal bordo elastico. Il corpo del berretto fino alla corona viene lavorato seguendo le istruzioni scritte oppure il diagramma. Il modello, disponibile in due taglie, si adatta alla maggior parte delle taglie adulte ed è progettato per essere indossato aderente.

Il berretto è progettato per essere aderente e deve essere indossato con agio negativo.
