The beautiful burette silk used for this shirt, it belongs to one of the best dyers of Italian yarn. I have known Elbert Espeleta, of Chiaroscuro Dye Lab, during a dye course organized by the Association SferruzziAMO to which I belong. Elbert gave me this beautiful silk, I hope to honor this wonderful yarn. Astoria is a top-down circular yoke sweater. After finishing the neck ribbing some short-rows are worked back and forth to create a higher back neck and then the round-yoke is worked top down with lace pattern band to sleeve separation. Sleeve stitches are placed on waste yarn to work the body top down. Sleeve stitches are then picked up again to work the sleeves top down in rounds.

La bellissima seta burette utilizzata per questa
maglietta appartiene ad uno dei più bravi tintori
di lana Italiana. Ho conosciuto Elbert Espeleta, di
Chiaroscuro Dye Lab, durante un corso di tintura
organizzato dall’associazione Sferruzziamo di cui
io faccio parte. Elbert mia ha dato questa
bellissima seta e io sono felice di averla potuta
utilizzare per questo progetto. Astoria è una
maglietta lavorata top down con lo sprone
circolare. Dopo il bordo del collo sono stati
inseriti alcuni ferri accorciati per sagomare la
scollatura. Eseguiti i ferri accorciati, si prosegue
in circolare con il pizzo fino quasi alla
separazione delle maniche. Le maniche vengono
poi messe in sospeso su un filo di scarto, per
poter lavorare il corpo a maglia rasata. Le
maniche sono riprese e lavorate in circolare.
