After I made my first bag (the Flower bag), I knew I wanted one for my WIP. So this one needed all sorts of pockets on the outside. But as it began to take shape, it was the perfect beach bag for me. So, now I still have to make a WIP bag!

This bag is made in Interlocking crochet, and the pattern comes with instructions on the technique, as well as photo tutorials on how to get started, how to make the colour changes, and though I did not add line it, there are instructions on how to line it.

I used around 750g of Scheepjes Catona, about half of it was blue and half white, and used some small left over colours for the fish on the outside pockets.

The bonus pattern: I added a simple fish as a bonus pattern, with which I attached two to the base of a handle. I included instructions on how to make a key chain strip if you prefer. However, you can get creative with this sweet fish and use it differently!

If you are new to the technique, you can find my tutorials with a free downloadable pattern to follow here: Astrid’s Interlocking crochet YouTube channel
