I like playing with geometric figures, and lacing them as in knots… But that is not enough for me, then I have to decorate each piece. After I chose the colours it had an Arabian look, therefore the name Kasbah.

A kasbah is a fortress, but also a symbol of Algerian culture, a source of artistic inspiration and home to an ancestral artisanal heritage.

This blanket is made in interlocking crochet, and the pattern comes with instructions on the technique itself, plus photo tutorials on how to get started and how to make the colour changes.

I included a list of all colours used, as well as how many grams of each, and also added a “colouring page” for you to create your own colour scheme.

If you are new to the technique, you can find my tutorials with a free downloadable pattern to follow here: Astrid’s Interlocking crochet YouTube channel
