Astronauts and Rockets - Blanket
Get ready to blast off with this space inspired pattern! Available in three sizes, this blanket is made using only knit and purl stitches making it a simple and fun project!
Written in English using UK terms, includes written row by row instructions and an accompanying chart for each of the three sizes.
Please note that the number of astronauts and rockets (referred to below as motifs) on each blanket size differs but continue in the same arrangement set in the small size (pictured):
Small – 3 motifs wide, 4 motifs high.
Medium – 4 motifs wide, 5 motifs high.
Large – 5 motifs wide, 6 motifs high.

Approximate measurements:
Small – 27.5 x 36 in/71 x 91 cm
Medium – 35.5 x 44 in/91 x 111.5 cm
Large – 43 x 52 in/109 x 132 cm
Tension:
18sts and 27 rows to 4 in/10cm square over st st using 4.5mm/#7 needles
Yarn:
For this blanket I used Women’s Institute Soft and Smooth Aran (pictured in Denim) but any yarn that meets the weight/tension requirements will work.
Yardage:
Small – 400gms/660m approx.
Medium – 650gms/1080m approx.
Large – 940/1550m approx.
