Description:

"When I designed the stitch in this cardigan, I was imitating the woven pattern of caned chair seats. The interlacing horizontal and diagonal bands are interpreted in knitting by diagonal crossed stitches and horizontal garter ridges. The shape left in the middle? A hexagon."
