This placemat is knit flat with a moss stitch border, knit at the same time as the stripes in the centre. Therefore, while you are knitting the stripes, you are also knitting intarsia to accommodate the moss stitch border.

Four colours of Dishie are used in this pattern. They are as follows:
Swan - 1 ball
Creme Brûlée - 1 ball
Conch - 1 ball
Linen - 1 ball
