This is a variation on the c2c pattern which uses chains of loops to created texture and pattern and keep it light and make it grow very quickly. C2C can be quite dense and heavy, this pattern is lightweight. The only constraint to making whatever you want is your courage and imagination. This pattern is so adaptable and works up really quickly. The one cake blanket took about 15 hours to complete and write down. The results for such a simple pattern are quite pleasing, it doesn’t look like a very easy simple repeat pattern. Once you’re into your stride it is worked up by 2 identical rows followed by 2 more identical rows which are then repeated until you have the size you want.
You could use any yarn you want however the use of self striping yarn does give a very pleasing finish.

This is not a professional pattern, I’m just a manic crocheter who likes to play around with designs. If you get stuck please contact me and I’ll try to help but to be honest this is so simple I’m sure you wont even be reading the pattern once you’re more than half way through. I provide pictures to explain some parts and to help you over turns. I find if I can see how it should look I can often work out what I need to do.
So happy hooking, please let me see what you produce.
