At the Game to truly a beginner project. Knit top down in a worsted weight yarn. The instructions are detailed and go step by step with many photos.

This is the most amazing sweater!!!. It is so easy to make and has NO Seams or butttons to sew. The piece is worked with circular needles, includes short rows for shaping the neckline and I guarantee you will not have to weave in more then a few strands of yarn to finish this cardigan. Knitting from the top down gives you the flexiblity to “size to fit” this garment to the child.

I’ve updated and refined all my patterns over the last few months, in order to make your knitting experience more enjoyable and easier to complete. There are links to recommended videos, schematics and more detailed techniques.

NOTE:This pattern has basic instructions, if you are new to knitting or knitting top-down this is the perfect place to begin your knitting journey.

Skills to know or learn: Knit, Purl, Cast-on, Bind off, Make one, yarn over.

I’d love to see what you create…show me your work on Ravelry.

Update: Jan 2015--Aren’t those Thing 1 & 2 sweaters so cute…using this pattern and then Magic Coffee Hat pattern to create these adorable outfits…So right for twins. Thanks Deb for sending the photo. Just make it striped, 4 or 5 rows each stripe. Cute!!!!

I have made this sweater in Vanna’s Choice by Lion Brand and it has worked out wonderfully also.
