Auer (pronounced quite alike to “our”) means haze in Finnish, especially the warm colored haze you can see during sunrises and sunsets. Holding a strand of lace weight silk mohair together with a fingering weight base yarn gives the Auer pullover a soft and hazy halo, which was the inspiration behind naming the pullover.

The Auer pullover is knitted seamlessly in the round, starting at the hem and working upwards to the armholes. The sleeves are also worked seamlessly until the armholes. The sleeves and the body are joined at the underarm and the yoke is shaped with raglan decreases. The neck is shaped while knitting flat. The shoulders are joined with a Three-Needle Bind Off. The collar stitches are picked up from the neckline, and the finished collar is folded double and seamed to the inside to give the pullover a finished appearance.

Sizes
1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9)
Finished bust circumference: 98 (108, 118, 128, 138, 148, 158, 168, 178) cm / 38.5 (42.5, 46.5, 50.5, 54.25, 58.25, 62.25, 66.25, 70) inches including the intended ease of 20-25 cm / 8-10 inches
Note: Because the raglan shaping is so long, it reaches the bust and makes the garment even roomier around the bust. Yarn
Note: The pullover uses a strand of fingering weight yarn held together with a strand of lace weight yarn, but they can be substituted for a single strand of DK weight yarn. If you wish to work a DK weight version, omit all the instructions where it says “hold the yarns together” and follow only the yarn amount requirements for the fingering weight yarn.
