A fun sock knitting pattern using Bavarian twisted stitches and traditional designs with a modern twist.

This is a knitting recipe for intermediate knitters who like to tackle a new skill or simply want an entertaining knit.

The socks are knit on 2.5mm needles and will fit a men’s size 8 / EU 42. But I’m sure experienced knitters will be able to adapt the pattern to their size. There are tons of pictures and lots of written explanations accompanying the central chart. On top of that, there are video explanations for all the important techniques available.

The downloadable pdf has altogether 11 pages, to give you a good impression.

I knit it with one hank of the Wollmeise Twin yarn in the color Pistazie (150gramm; had about 10 grams spare). The 4ply Regia in uni can also be a good option and has been a favorite of bavarian knitters for almost a century.
