The Augusta Lace Camisole is a light and airy, slightly cropped summer camisole in a ribbed lace pattern that is obtained by knitting a combination of knits, purls, twisted knit stitches and yarn overs. The top is worked top down which makes the length fully customisable. With a gauge of 27 stitches (10 cm), the top can be made using many different yarns. Depending on the yarn composition chosen, the top will turn out more floaty (cotton or silk) or figure hugging (merino).
The pattern provides you with two strap options - I-cord straps (rose colored top in the pictures) and double knit straps (white top in the pictures) that offer a clean look and slightly more coverage of bra straps.

In the instructions you will find a detailed pattern chart to help you knit the top. However, not every single step is described in words and basic knitting knowledge is required. Hence, the pattern is not suited for absolute knitting beginners. But if you have some experience, you should be good to go.

Sizing
So far, the pattern is available in 6 sizes:
1 (width: 80 cm)| 2 (width: 83 cm) | 3 (width: 89 cm) | 4 (width: 93.4 cm) | 5 (width: 98 cm) | 6 (width: 106 cm).
The denoted width is the width of the finished garment. The top is designed to have a negative ease of 2-9 cm around the bust. The sizes above are thus recommended for a bust circumference of ( 82 – 86 | 87 – 91 | 92 – 96 | 97 – 101 | 102 – 107 | 108 - 113 ) cm.
Example: If you have a bust circumference of 94 cm, size 3 is recommended for you.

Yarn
Cotton Merino or Pure Silk by Knitting for Olive (Yardage: 250 m / 50 g), alternatively: Tussah Tweed by BC Garn.
You will need ( 100 g | 100 g | 100 g* | 150 g | 150 g | 150 g* ) for a (rather short) length of ( 25 | 25 | 26 | 29 | 32 | 35 ) cm (measured under the arm)
* especially for the sizes 3 and 6 the given amount of yarn is very tightly measured

Needles
You will need a 3 mm circular needle or another needle size to best fit the provided gauge.

Note on Printing
Since there are multiple knitting charts included in the pattern, you will not need to print the whole thing. You will need to print pages 1-5 for the instructions and then only the knitting chart for your size.

General Note: As a “one-woman-show” I translated this pattern myself. As a native German grammar mistakes in the English pattern can occur. In the following weeks I will have someone reed through the English pattern again, an update will be sent out then.
The pattern has been test knitted, so you should be good to go - if you have any questions or problems, please contact me at quasigerade@web.de - Thank you so much for your support!

Happy Knitting!
Bella

Modifications made for the white version: The white top is a modified version of Augusta that is not described in the pattern. You can achieve the same look by starting the half twisted rib immediately underneath the bust, working it for 6,5 cm and then folding the rib inwards and sewing a 3cm elastic. If your bust and under-bust circumference are highly different, you might want to add some decreases at the sides of the top.
