Light and airy, this absolutely charming sweater combines a delicate eyelet lace pattern with a smart shoulder line simulating a twisted rib yoke. The sweater is worked bottom up in the round up to the underarm. Then, front and back are divided to be worked separately.
The pretty puffy sleeves are voluminous and worked by picking up stitches from the body. They are worked top down in the round and a ‘balloon’ effect is created by working a tight rib at the cuffs.
The model in the picture is 169 cm tall and wears a size 2.
Yarn
11 (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17) skeins of Kidsilk Lace Gregoria Fibers (25g = 230 yards/ 210 m) (73% superkid mohair, 27% silk).
The sweater is worked holding three strands of yarn together.
For the sample we used three strands of our colourway “Ivory”.
