This is possibly the easiest pattern I have created, moss stitch aside. There are three pieces, the armhole extension is included within the design therefore reducing the making up of the piece simple and straightforward with only four easy to match seams.
The moss stitch in this design along with the Rowan slightly fluffy wool is forgiving of any uneven knitting or sewing which may occur in creating the piece.
It is beautiful to wear, elegant, light with a slight floatiness. The wool does not shed which is a bonus too.
Wear as an additional layer as we approach Autumn/Winter, bring out again in Spring. Looks stunning with a ruffle collar or simply slip over your favourite shirt or t shirt.
The knitted tie can be optional, illustrations with a brooch are included to provide styling options. Ribbon could also be used if preferred along with adding more ties on the piece, again if preferred and fashionable at the moment.
Named Augustine, which means, memories of summer. This is an extremely therapeutic and rewarding piece to knit and beautiful to wear.
Plenty of stunning subtle shades available too.
The pattern is one size which would easily fit sizes 8 – 14.
