NOTE: Auralite is worked using two strands of yarn held together throughout – this will either be a strand of yarn A and C together OR a strand of yarn B and D together, as indicated in pattern/chart.

Gauge: 21 sts & 25 rows = 10cm / 4” over St st in the round on 5mm needles and holding one strand of yarn A and C together, after blocking. 21 sts & 18 rows = 10cm / 4” over Chart B in the round on 5mm needles, after blocking.

Needles: 4.5mm / US 7 needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round. 5mm / US 8 circular needles, 60-100cm / 24-40” length (depending on size worked) AND needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round.

Note: Begin the neck using needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round, then change to appropriate circular needles as the circumference increases.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.

Notions: Stitch marker, scrap yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle.

Notes: Auralite is worked in the round from the top down, beginning with a ribbed neckline. Short rows are used to raise the back neck, followed by a seamless colourwork round yoke, with increase intervals throughout. The sleeves and body are separated at the underarm and the body is worked to the hem. Sleeve stitches are then picked up and worked down to the cuff. A tubular method is recommended for the cast-on and cast-off.
