These bulky baby/child mittens knit up in a flash to keep little hands and fingers toasty. Lengthen the ribbing at the cuff a few inches and they’ll do double duty as armwarmers.

Mittens are thumbless in Baby size and include a thumb in Toddler and Child sizes. Pattern includes both written out and charted directions for the cables.

MATERIALS NEEDED
Yarn:
Malabrigo Yarn Mecha (100% merino; 130yds/119m per 100g skein): 1 skein in Mostaza for all sizes

Recommended needles (make sure to check gauge and change sizes if needed):
US #8 [5.0 mm] double-pointed needles, set of 4 or 5 (or preferred type of needles for small diameter knitting in the round)
US #9 [5.5 mm] double-pointed needles, set of 4 or 5 (or preferred type of needles for small diameter knitting in the round)

Notions:
5 stitch markers, cable needle, waste yarn, yarn needle

GAUGE
16 sts/ 24 rows = 4 in/10 cm in stockinette stitch on larger needles

Important Note: Make sure to check your gauge carefully, as skeins of this yarn can vary in thickness. The skeins used for this set were closer to an Aran weight.
