Construction
This shawl is worked from the bottom up, starting with a pretty lace border which flows into a twisted rib pattern for the body.

The body is shaped by short rows that are spaced a bit closer to each other than in most short row shawls. This makes the center back a bit deeper. It also gives the shawl a more pronounced crescent shape, makes it lie better over the shoulder, and creates a gentle flounce in the lace edge.

Measurements
Wingspan: 51”/130 cm
Center back: 25.5”/65 cm

Gauge
15 sts/30 rows over 4×4”/10×10 cm in lace pattern, after blocking. Gauge is not important, but will obviously affect the finished size and yarn consumption.

Both charts and written instructions are provided for the lace part.

In the same lace pattern, there is also the Aurei cowl, Aurei hat and Aurei cuffs.
