Aurelia is a a simple, light, feminine shawl-cowl hybrid. Constructed like a semi-circular shawl but mostly in the round, when worn it resembles a small shawl wrapped around the neck, but without any ends threatening to become untied. Worked in a yarn that is lighter than air with just the right amount of sparkle, a pretty lace pattern adds to the airiness of the piece and makes for a great multi-seasonal accessory.

Originally knit in a light DK weight yarn with a little sparkle for Knitscene’s Spring 2015 issue, Aurelia would also work in a fingering weight yarn as long as gauge is found to be comparable in the stitch pattern.

Specific yarn requirements:
TSC Artyarns Tranquility Glitter (60% extrafine merino wool, 25% cashmere, 15% silk with lurex; 400 yd 366 m/57 g):• #TG-9 tobacco gold, 1 skein
Yarn distributed by Tahki Stacy-Charles Inc.

US 6 (4 mm) circular needle, at least 24”/ 60 cm long, or size needed to obtain gauge
