Aureliana
These socks are like a little piece of art on your needles. The flowing, intricate pattern winds across the fabric in a rich contrast of deep black with warm shades of ochre and gold. As you knit, each stitch feels satisfying and steady, the kind of rhythm you can really sink into while watching the design slowly come to life.
And once you wear them? They wrap your feet in warmth and character. Soft but sturdy, they feel special without trying too hard. Perfect for colder days and summer nights, or just to give yourself that quiet sense of comfort and pride with every step.
YARN
330 (380, 430, 480) yards of fingering weight/sockweight yarn
Sample uses Scheepjes Arcadia Solid 816 Midnight (100 grams/396 meters) as color A and Scheepjes Arcadia Tones 703 Sahara (100 grams/396 meters) as color B
For all sizes: 1 main color and 1 contrast color are enough. Keep in mind that making the socks longer or having a different gauge might result in more or less yardage needed.
GAUGE
30 stitches and 46 rounds = 4”in stockinette stitch, knit in the round
When checking for gauge please knit as to how the pattern is designed. For example, if the pattern is knitted in the round you want to make your gauge swatch knitted in the round as well.
NEEDLES
Using size US 1.5 (2.50 mm) or one size smaller than gauge needles for the cuff, heel and toes and US 2 (3 mm) or any size to obtain gauge for the color work.
