’Aurum’ is inspired by beautiful Navajo woven rugs which I have been a great admirer.
The simple geometric motives which are incorporated in the circular yoke and cuffs are my version of woven patterns translated into knitted stitches.

The yarn used for the sample is Northiam fingering weight pure Blue Faced Leicester by Kettle Yarn Co. This yarn is exceptional and of high quality with fabulous hand, great sheen and superb softness. Definitely worth trying out!

This easy sweater is knitted top down and in the round starting at the neckline. The two-colour yoke is easy to follow and can be executed even by less experienced knitter.

There are few short rows to lift the yoke at the back and shape the neck at the same time. Tutorial has been included for German short-row technique.
The length can be easily adjusted, since this sweater is worked top-down.
The body of ’Aurum’ is knitted straight without shaping, however, one can always add some waist shaping if desired.
