East fjords of Iceland, 1995. I´m lying in the grass at the top of a cliff, starring at the sea and the regular movement of the waves at the surface. The Sea thrifts have not all flowered. At the top of the long stems, their round dark green buds quiver in the breeze. I´m listening to the lapping of the waves. Through my eyes are half closed, the grass, the sky and the sea seem to merge in a swell of blues and greens. Only the strikingly bright orange of the light house keeps me from falling asleep. I am awake.
The beret is knitted from the bottom to the top in stranded knitting. The crown is shaped with invisible decreases within the motif.
