I knit this shawl in collaboration with The Knit Apothecary. I used her 100% Eco Processed Organic Merino Wool in fingering weight.

This shawl is worked from the top-down with a garter tab cast on. Six sts are added to every right-side row to create a heart-shaped shawl. Yarn overs and decreases are used to create the look of overlapping leaves. Stitches on the right side are mirrored with stitches on the left side to add to the spreading of the pattern.

Chart repeats are added all at once rather than bit by bit, so there is a bit of stockinette play along the edges and spine to break up the lacy pattern.

I hope you enjoy knitting this pattern as it was a joy for me to create. Happy Fall!
