Warmer months call for shorter socks. Pop these socks on when the summer evening gets a bit chilly.

Autumn Gold is a sock pattern worked from cuff to toe. The cuff and top of the foot are worked in broken ribbing with some strategically placed increases and decreases to create the fun cable-like motif. The sample socks have a shorther leg, but you can easily make it taller.

The socks have a French heel and the broken rib continues on the gusset. The pattern is written for magic loop, but can be worked with DPNs as well. There are both written and charted instructions for the motifs.

There’s also a matching shawl pattern: Tides of Time.
