«Autumn in Delft » est une étole conçue pour être portée sur une jolie robe ou une chemise un peu habillée, elle se porte sur les épaules pour réchauffer ces tenues quand le soleil se couche et qu’il commence à faire frais. Je l’ai conçue pendant mes vacances à Delft, c’est pourquoi elle porte le nom de cette ville Néerlandaise où il fait bon flâner le long des canaux et où il fait souvent un peu frais !

Cette étole est construite en deux moitiés assemblées par un grafting. Elle se tricote avec 2 écheveaux (ou 3 si vous la souhaitez plus longue). Si vous utilisez de la laine teinte a la main, je vous recommande d’alterner les echevaux pour les deux moities afin d’eviter d’avoir une demarcation à l’assemblage.

Autumn in Delft is a wrap designed to be worn with a nice dress or on a shirt, when you want to add a pretty touch to your outfit. It will keep your shoulders and back warm during summer evening and at the beginning of autumn, when you want to wear the summer dress you love but it’s a bit too chill for it. I designed it during my holidays in Delft, that’s where the name come from. I enjoyed so much this cute city with all these canals that I decided to move there!

The wrap is made in 2 symmetric parts, held together with a grafting. You can knit it using any size of yarn. In fingering you’ll need 2 skeins, or 3 if you want it longer to wear as a scarf. If you use hand dyed yarn, I advise you to knit each half using yarn from the 2 skeins otherwise you may see the difference between the 2 skeins at the grafting.
