Autumn Star Toddler Fair Isle Hat
An interesting knit and an absolute eye catcher! This hat is made using different Fair Isle patterns, bigger motifs and small ́peerie ́ patterns are used to get a good balance.
The wonderful thing about a real Fair Isle hat is the double thread, which makes the hat really warm and is a lot more wind blocking than a single strand knitted hat.
It is important to use a good wool yarn, preferably not a superwash, since you ́ll want the yarn to ́grab ́ the other threads. When in use, there will be some felting, which will make the pattern even brighter and smoother, and the hat warmer for your little one to wear.
The pattern consists of a fully written out pattern and a chart. You will probably knit by the chart only very soon.
