I created this cowl with autumn in mind, knowing that cooler weather will mean a cold neck, especially when I have my hair up.

I also wanted to use up some of my scraps and the three colours I used were sitting at the top of my stash screaming to be used in a project together. The sample shown has three colours of fingering weight yarn, however you can get away with as little as two, or more colours for your own cowl.

This is also a beginner friendly pattern, ideal for those who can knit but want to introduce a couple of new stitches to their skills

The Autumn Vibes Cowl is perfect for mindfulness knitting.

Needles:
3.25mm with a 16 inch (40cm) cable.
Note – most of my testers reached the gauge with 3mm needles, if you are a loose knitter I recommend trying 3mm first.

4.5mm Needle to cast off (optional).

Gauge:
Unblocked – 11 rows per inch and 8 Stitches per inch (2.5cm)
Blocked – 10 rows per inch (2.5cm) and 7 Stitches per inch (2.5cm)

Cowl Size:
29cm (W) x 27cm (L)
11.2 Inches (W) x 10.9 Inches

Note:
Stitch count is not noted during the pattern other than when casting on but should be 156 stitches throughout the pattern.

Notions:
Scissors, tapestry needle to sew in the ends.
Stitch markers x 1
