The Desert Wind mosaic overlay pattern was tested pairing Scheepjes Color Crafter with Scheepjes Scrumptious DK. Scheepjes Colour Crafter Burum 1709 (Color A) is presented in the photo, above, as a rich gold with copper undertones. Color A is constant throughout the patterns and calls for 6 skeins. The color changes within the pattern are composed of 10 (ten) Scheepjes Scrumptious DK shades. The pattern calls for a 3.5 /E hook.

This pattern is also perfect for your scrap yarn, should you want to mix and match your own colors. Just remember that the pattern specs are for DK weight. Working this pattern with other weights (Worsted, Chunky, etc) will change the specifications.

You can adjust the length of the blanket by increasing/decreasing the chain by increments of 6. Each 6-chain increase/decrease will adjust the length by an approximate 1.2 inches.

The pattern includes a fully expandable graph, reduced graph for printing, row-by-row written instructions, glossary of abbreviations, specs, and graph key.

The pattern is worked along the length of the blanket; this allows the fringe to fall top and bottom of the blanket.
