Avant-Ski is a simple stranded design for your little ski-bunny-in-training. The socks are knit in the round from the top down with an eye-of-partridge heel and the toe is grafted closed. Grafting instructions are NOT included in the pattern. Charts are provided for the main design.

Yarn: You will need approximately 50 yards each of two contrasting sock yarns for best results. It is recommended that at least one of the yarns be a solid color to make the pattern pop.

Supplies:

  • 4 US size 2 double-pointed needles
  • 2 stitch markers
  • tapestry needle

Sizing: Finished circumference is approximately 5.25”. It should fit most 6-12 month infants.

This is the design for Week Seven of Pattern a Week at Running Jack Knits. It is TEMPORARILY available for free.
