Avenida means avenue in Spanish.
The Avenida tote is knit from the bottom up and in the round. The straps are knit and grafted to the bag without seams. The bottom of the tote is sewn together to reinforce it.

The diagonal lines created with the lace work give the design movement at the same time that makes a lighter and more interesting fabric. The stitch repetition is easy to remember which makes it a great and relaxing summer project.

The pattern is written in US standard terms and it is recommended for intermediate or adventurous beginner knitters.

The pattern includes formula for customization.

YARN:
Worsted (4) weight yarn 80% recycled cotton and 20% recycled polyester.

YARDAGE:
The samples use approximately 280 yards / 256 m of KFI Collection Eco Bag in Aruba.

NEEDLES:
US 8 / 5 mm circular needles with a 16” or 24” cable length.

GAUGE:
14.5 stitches x 21 rounds in 4”x4” / 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette in the round and blocked.
Since this is a bag, meeting exact gauge is not crucial but it will give you an approximate idea of the yardage you need.

FINAL DIMENSIONS (width x height):
The body of the tote is approximately 13” x 14”. / 33 x 35 cm.

La medida no es muy importante para un bolso, pero puede darte una mejor idea de cuánta lana necesitarías.

DIMENSIONES FINALES (ancho x alto):
El cuerpo del bolso sin las asas mide aproximadamente 33 x 35 cm.
