The Aviemore Cowl is inspired by the long pole pines in the Cairngorms National Park of the Highlands in Scotland. The Spincycle yarn creates tonal changes through the colorwork, suggesting natural greens and greys of the foggy forests. A folded hem provides a polished edge for a beautiful wardrobe staple.

This pattern is a stranded colorwork cowl, which is knit in the round using circular needles, from the bottom up. Knit using two coordinating colors of sport weight yarn, this pattern lends itself to combining a solid and a tonal or variegated color.

While written for one size, if desired, the cowl can be sized up or down by adjusting the number of repeats. Keep in mind that this will impact the required amount of yarn.
