Are you not sure what to do with that special left over skein? Maybe it’s just too little for a large project, or maybe it doesn’t quite match with anything else for a color project. Just like you, I have several partial skeins that I love too much to not do anything with them. This project is a small treat that used just 270 yards of fingering weight yarn (or a little over half of skein). But to be honest, you can easily adapt the pattern for as little as 200 yards (or as over as 300 yards), since the pattern is adjustable.

The stitch pattern is satisfying and with just the right amount of challenge. You are going to wrap yarn twice in the first round and then drop them to work four stitches together. It is an awesome challenge for novices and a perfect project for experienced knitters who are looking for a simple and mindless yet fun project.

Blocking is essential for this piece. It will open the stitch and make it lacy. It’s also important to achieve the right size. So, take your time to block this piece, you will love the result.
