Awakener
The Awakener is a crochet cowl which features an easy to make and beautiful stitch pattern. This stitch pattern mainly uses sc3tog with a tiny modification which creates the leaf-like look of the stitches on the right side and a different looking but equally interesting texture on the wrong side. The cowl can be worn with either side showing.
Perfectionist crocheters might be pleased with the technique used for the last row which mimics the polished and cord-like appearance of the foundation used at the beginning.

I create new crochet stitches to show a quieter, softer side of crochet: calm, simple, and casual. My patterns may look unusual at first only because the technique is new to you, just like your first chain or single crochet once was. After a little practice, it feels easy and natural.
