Pattern for a cute, somewhat realistically-proportioned axolotl! The finished toy measures about 6.5in long (17cm).

The pattern is suitable for beginners, but some knowledge of less commonly-used stitches is needed. There is no sewing involved. The gills, legs, and tail membrane are all crocheted on.

The pattern uses US crochet terms.

You will need at least two colors of yarn, a hook, stuffing, and a needle for embroidering on the eyes and weaving in the yarn tails.
