TAIL EMBELLISHMENT
The tail embellishment is optional. He’s perfectly cute without it. But if you want to add the fuzzy halo, hold one strand of eyelash yarn together with another yarn of your choice and pick up stitches around the tail. As long as you pick up stitches fairly evenly, you don’t need to count your stitches. It’s very forgiving. Knit 4 rows in stockinette then BO.

LEGS
Make 4

Using double pointed needles, cast on 6st. Without turning work, slide stitches to the right of the needle and start knitting the i-cord tube. Knit in stockinette for 10 rows. Cut yarn, pull through stitches to close.

GILLS/EARS
Make 6

Using double pointed needles, cast on 5st. Without turning work, slide stitches to the right of the needle and start knitting the i-cord tube. Knit in stockinette for 15 rows. Cut yarn, pull through stitches to close.

Sew legs and gills to body, weave in loose ends. Using split stitch, embroider mouth.
