The Aztec Coasters in the style Meztli was a pattern created while looking deeper into one of our families histories, the Aztec’s. Whats started out as curiosity soon lead to inspiration and this coaster (along with others) where born! We’ve had so much fun researching and designing that we wanted to create a little something for everyone to enjoy in their home and coasters seemed like a great way!

This pattern comes with both written colour coded instructions and a chart to help you make your own beautiful Aztec coasters. One of the best things about these coasters is that you don’t need much yarn! All together you’ll need no more the 26 yards of yarn split into 3 different colours! (More details are in the pattern itself) The different colour combinations are endless!

This pattern has been tested out by our amazing accomplished pattern tester so that there isn’t any mistakes and that the pattern flows nicely for a easy step by step guide.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Pattern is written in US terms.
• Skill level: Confident Beginner (You will need an understanding of how to colour change)
• Final sizes of coasters will depend on the individuals tensions when changing colours but ranges from 4” x 4” - 5” x 5” approx
• Any #4 medium cotton yarn, in 3 colours. (Yarn brand used in the pictures shown is Just Cotton) Any blend of cotton yarn will work but its best to use 100% cotton (Cotton works well against heat and wont melt)
• The whole piece is worked using Single Crochet only and chain 1 and turn at the end of every row.
