When I designed this pattern, I wanted something that resembled tiles, was simple, and visually appealing. The pattern is basic and expands quickly. While constructing my afghan, I was surprised to discover that it was thinner than others I’d made because the design was mostly single crochet stitches. I expected this to result in a less warm throw, but that was not the case. My husband told me the other day that he won’t use it until it gets really cold this winter because it’s too warm!

So, the best way to describe Aztec Pathways’ finished product is a thinner, less heavy afghan that is very warm and densely constructed.
