Sizes are approximations taking into account the different properties of different fibers. Many users say it knits a little big so try the smaller size if you’re not on a deadline. It’s a really quick knit. If your on a deadline, it can always be grown into or lined with fleece for extra warmth.

Measure the recipients head when possible for best fit. Sizes have been designed to fit comfortably & to allow for growth (for example: your intended recipient has an 18 inch head circumference You could choose M for a closer fit, or L for a larger fit)

Most infants will fit into the M size category & and remember sizes are approximations only. Measure, measure, measure ;)
