This beautiful babies poncho, suitable for approx 12 months old, is knitted using oddments of DK yarn that we all seem to gather.
It is knitted on straight 4.50mm needles and 3.50mm needles for neckband and picot hem.

The pattern gives you gms used for each colour - approx 480 in total so that you can change the colour scheme to suit yourself.

The open neckline is finished with a knitted bias strip (pattern included) OR you can crochet an edging of your choice

I have also included instructions for a knitted braid to cover inside sewn up seams. This is optional.
