This sweet baby beanie comes in four baby sizes and uses mosaic colourwork to create the graphic effect.

The stitch used in this beanie is a variation of Barbara Walker’s simulated basketweave pattern. The mosaic pattern is a 10-stitch, 16-round repeat that uses slipped stitches to create the colourwork pattern. It can be worked from the chart or the written instructions. Only one colour is used at a time within a round and every 2nd round is the same as the previous round.

This beanie requires intermediate knitting skills. Choose a size that will stretch to fit baby’s head size. It is intended to be worn with negative ease.
If desired, a pom pom can be added.
