This gender-neutral hat is designed for a baby 0-3 months. It begins with a spiral so each round is half-created in each of two colors. The hat is made in linked double crochet stitch (stitch instructions included), making a flatter, more solid fabric than the traditional double crochet. The pattern includes plenty of photos to help you along the way, especially with the spiral start to the hat. This pattern can also create a monkey hat, simply by lowering the placement of the ears. It works up quickly for an adorable, last-minute shower baby shower gift!

Gauge: 15 ldc for 10 rows = 3”x4” square.
