I made this little bird as a present for a friend’s baby. The feet are great for teething babies, and the body is soft and cuddly.

I made it using cotton yarn, much less than a skein of each colour.

Use two shades of green, white, orange and brown. The teether feet are available from many sellers. Search for Duck feet teethers to find them.

In order to make the bird, you need to know the following stitches:

• Magic circle
• Single crochet
• Increase
• Decrease
• Chain
• Slip stitch
• Foundation stitch
