this big shawl (90”x45” / 230x115cm) is a road trip project.
stripes avoid to fall dead bored, but the pattern is easy enough to let you chat with the driver and keep an eye on some young people behind you…

i used fingering yarn (merino and cashmere) for a very light and soft result, but gauge is not critical and this project can be worked with dk or sport weight.

this pattern has not been tested, please send me a message if you find mistakes…

and why not a “wild KAL” if some of you are interested?

EDIT (thank you Ruth from IamShadow21
The establishing row should be: K3, M1, K1, M1, pl. m, K1, pl. m, M1, K1, M1, K3
Row 3 should go: K3, M1, K to marker (3 stitches on first repeat), M1, slip marker, K1, slip marker, M1, K to last 3 stitches (3 stitches on first repeat), m1, K3.
The four rows repeat (with the exception of the establishing row one), should always use the above Row 3 on the front side, varying only as to the colour of the yarn used. Each colour section (with the exception of the green section) lists the establishing row as the first row of the repeat, which does not work. It should be the corrected row 3 above.
