Sweet Charlotte is a top down baby cardigan which is easy to knit and a great introduction to top down knitting for novice knitters.

This little cardigan can be knitted in two colours or just in the main colour and you can vary the colours.

It is also an introduction to some lace work which is very each and effective.

For knitters new to top down patterns it may be daunting to find you have a hole underarm after sewing up the sleeve…..do not worry I have added some pictures to show you how to sew up the sleeve.

Top down knitting is ideal for baby cardigans as it keeps seaming to the minimum.
All my designs leave you scope to add your own colours to your garment and you can be bold with bright zany colours or traditional with softer baby colours.
